A bunch of us decided to take this further and create an event for techies in jordan, and this is where Ammman Tech Tuesday came about. The first event had huge outcome a lot bigger than we thought, so we decided to get more organized and work hard to make the 2nd event a success, and it was very well prepared and had a good outcome.

This past Tuesday marked the first of an ongoing series of technology oriented events happening in Amman. The staggering success of the first Amman Tech Tuesdays (AmmanTT) gathering attracted more than 300 local attendees and over 450 online viewers from around the world. Held at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology, AmmanTT ‘s main message is to bring Jordan’s bustling tech community together on the first Tuesday of every month in hopes of fortifying ties and promoting invention at the local level in a more frequent and casual setting.

Definitely, a great step towards having more dynamics in the Jordanian IT idle community. A step that should have started many years ago in a country like Jordan, where there are a lot of IT geeks, talents and experts. Big thanks to all who worked hard to get this all together.
As a start the organization level is satisfactory and promising. Keeping the same momentum I believe we will have better organization.

It was packed by 6:45, and I was very lucky to have found a spot to sit, as Princess Sumaya University “falamu” the organizers of AmmanTT and pushed them down to a small 150 pax auditorium which did not even fit half the attendees.
(Very bad publicity for the university, honestly, I’d take better care of such things if I were them)
